BEST TIME TO VISIT MEGHALAYA

INTRO:

Hi, I am Leena a travel blogger I love to explore new places
and new people. So here I have made a blog on traveling. It is
always good for the tourists to have a little idea about the
place they are going to visit. So, this is a blog on Meghalaya,
a northeastern beautiful state in India about the best time to
visit the state, the weather there, festivals, etc.

DESCRIPTION:

Meghalaya is one of the wettest regions of India recording an
average of 12,000 mm (470 in) of rain a year. It is a beautiful
hill state surrounded by greenery scenarios, waterfalls, and
lakes. The weather of Meghalaya is so pleasant almost every
month.

If you are going to visit Meghalaya in the summertime
(April-June) its temperature ranges between 12c to 28c with
pleasant morning and evenings. The weather is really suitable
in summer as you can roam around in various spots for fun
activities. From camping, trekking to slow walks to the various corners of the towns, and picnic, you can do a bunch of fun activities in this season.

There is a regional festival of three days which is celebrated
every year in April with colorful traditional rituals, music, dance,
etc that tourists would cherish a lifetime.

The state Meghalaya receives heavy rainfall during the
monsoons (July-September). In this season most of
Meghalaya remains cloudy or pleasantly overcast. But it is the
season when nature becomes more attractive.

It is also nice for tourists to visit Meghalaya during autumn
(October-November) and winter season (December-February)
amongst tourists who come from high-temperature zones. In
this season the average day time temperature is extremely pleasant at 15c, but the night time temperature drops up to 2c and the fog covers the entire state.

The International Cherry Blossom Festival is usually held in Autumn. The festival is arranged by the Government of Meghalaya's Forest & Environment Department as well as by the Institute of Bioresources & Sustainable Development in collaboration with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations.

CONCLUSION:

I write from my travel experience both good and bad and I
hope this blog is helpful for you and whenever you are going
to visit Meghalaya may this post will help you.
